PowerAmp recently posted directions on Twitter of how to fix the incompatibility between PowerAmp and Volume+!
I just tested it out and it works like a charm!

Volume+ v1.9.0.1

As many of you were complaining that v1.9.0.0 was now too quiet, I included the old ‘drop-down-volume-selection’ alongside the new slider system (the sliders are now used for the ‘advanced’ settings, like before). You should notice that the volume is now back to how it was on v1.8.1.0.
It will now also clear all your settings when you update the application and will do so with every new update. This is because I often change values while experimenting and this can cause some problems when you update. Many people have had to reinstall the application to get things working again, this should hopefully fix that issue. Non of your saved EQ settings will be deleted.

Planned Updates for V1.9.0.2
No new features are planned, it will be mainly a bug-fixing update.
The A2DP Bluetooth limitation will be removed (currently doesn’t work on non-A2DP Bluetooth devices).
I will look at removing the Headset and Bluetooth checks (as it stands, you need them present to alter the settings) but I can’t promise anything. The checks solved A LOT of bugs when Saving and Loading custom EQ settings.
More EQ pre-sets and tweaks to the existing pre-sets.
Further slider modifications.
Alterations to the Bass Boost and VRE values.

You will have to make a separate account on the Forums as on here. Your old forum account WILL NOT work on the new forums.

All releases of Volume+ will be posted there from now on, so you’ll need to sign up to download the latest versions!

Some things are changing on the site, so I thought I’d post to let you know what’s already been done & what’s coming soon.

• Firstly, the site has a new host, as GoDaddy can go screw themselves. Royally. The new host is owned by myself (ssmmdd, I’ll explain who I am later) and you should find it much faster. Mainly as GoDaddy was shared hosting, is based in the USA & was a (crap!) Windows server, while mine is a rather powerful VPS, is in the UK & running linux (tons better). There shouldn’t be any downtime or problems with the site itself, but if there are, please leave a comment so I can look into it. Cheers. (I know about the missing images to the left of news posts, which we’re trying to fix. Well, Meltus is. )

• I’ve installed a Help & Support system, click here to open it. You’ll notice there’s a new link at the top of the site, which has replaced the old e-mail method via the contact link Meltus was using before. Now, instead of simply e-mailing Meltus or posting a comment here, you now create a Support Ticket and myself or Meltus will answer it as soon as possible. This looks more professional & means that I can also answer the tickets as well as Meltus. We’re hoping for a response time of less than 24 hours, but we’re not exactly sure how hard it’s going to be hit. We’ll try our best. Click here to go to the Help & Support system.

• The Help & Support system also has a Knowledgebase (aka FAQ) that, while empty at the moment, will soon be filled with information so people can get help without having to wait for a reply!

• There will be new forums soon! The current ones are a bit crap (no offence WordPress, but they are) so I’m in the process of installing and setting up phpBB, which are much much better. There’ll be more information about the forums in a later post.

Now, about myself. I’m just a fan and a user of Volume+ who came to the aid of Meltus when he got a bit fed up at how slow his site was loading. I offered to help, so here I am. I’ll also be helping to keep this place spam free, you should already hopefully notice that it’s rather spam free at the moment.

Ok, this is the first beta. I meant to release the beta sooner but I found a pretty serious bug and fixing that has taken hours (still only semi-fixed). You should be able to get a rough idea of what it’s like, even if some of it is a bit messy.
See my last post for more information about what’s been added/changed.

Few things to bare in mind

1) The logcat is VERY MESSY. There’s so many debug messages in there that I haven’t taken out yet that it’ll just spam your screen.

2) The saving and loading of EQ files is a little buggy at the moment. You can only load the headset one when the headset’s plugged in (otherwise it throws an error message) but they can be created from any of the 3 settings pages provided the correct box is ticked (e.g., if it’s routed through the speaker, if the “Use Custom EQ” box is ticked on the Speaker Settings page the EQ can still be made from either the Headset or the Bluetooth page). This will be fixed when I’m not so tired.

3) This is an early Beta. No way near the release stage yet. Please be aware that this is going to be pretty buggy.

4) As always, you’ll get the best results running a CyanogenMod ROM. It’s highly recommended.

5) Bluetooth has NOT been tested and most likely wont work. So yeah.

Current List of Upcoming Features

EDITED MARCH 1st - PUBLIC BETA RELEASE TONIGHT! (see below)

So, I’ve been working hard trying to get this update out as soon as possible but it’s taking longer than anticipated.

Many people were complaining about it being far too complicated (which I agree with) so I’ve attempted to simplify it. It should hopefully now be fairly self explanatory.
See below for screenshots and more information.

New Features

As you can see, It is now much more simple to use. You turn it on, select your EQ pre-set and the EQ sliders move accordingly. Then you set your boost amount with the Volume slider.
You also have the option to ‘edit’ the pre-sets by ticking the “Use Custom EQ Settings”. This will allow you to control each band individually and create your own EQ Settings. Below that (see the last screenshot), you now have the option to Save your custom EQ settings and then to Load them again (this was the single most requested feature).

Of course, the layouts you see are simply mockups at the moment (although half of it is now implemented) and as such, they are subject to change.
The planned features are also subject to change and they may not all be added.

I should have a beta out in the next few days. Whether this will include all the features listed above is unknown at this point. I may add them in over time, depending on how much I can get done.
Currently, everything listed above has been implemented APART from the Save/Load custom settings. I am determined to add this before the release in a few days time. Volume+9 is currently in closed-beta testing,  open beta expected tomorrow/Tuesday.
After many, many hours of infuriating and tedious trial and error (I sometimes wish I had a team of developers instead of it just being me!), everything listed above is now complete and fully functional. I’ve modified the layout slightly; the Save/Load/Delete options are now located in the ‘Settings’ menu, rather than just being options under the EQ. Everything seems to be functioning correctly, but the public beta will be released tonight so we’ll see how many bugs are found then. All beta testing seemed to have gone well, so here is the Release version (just been uploaded to the Android Market).

No changes from the second beta apart from some orientation fixes and the removal of the title bar.

Hey everyone!

I received my Galaxy Nexus yesterday and have been working on a more ICS ‘optimised’ version for you all (It should work better on Gingerbread/Honeycomb too)!
There’s nothing massively exciting  that’s been added but it should be a nice improvement over 1.8.0.6.
A list of updates can be found below!

What’s New?
- Attempt at some ICS optimisations
- Added a check for phones with ICS (takes you to sound settings to enable Volume+ in Meida Effects)
- App starts differently (should be more reliable)
- App should be more ‘persistant’ (see above)
- EQ values completely changed
- Volume levels completely changed
- Higher volumes now available (up to +20)
- Louder volumes should now be attainable
- EQ Band frequencies now shown 

Known Bugs
- Virtual Room effects don’t currently work on ICS (investigating)
- Occasionally a blank ‘Volume+’ page will appear (not sure why)
